Land Registry (England & Wales)
About
The HM Land Registry (England & Wales) contains information on over 20 million homes and properties sold in England and Wales since 1993. The register includes ownership details for properties that have been sold or changed hands since 2000.
You can order a title register online which will be provided in a PDF format. It includes who owns the property, title number, what they paid for it, whether a mortgage has been paid off and any rights of way. A title summary also includes the lenders name and address if there is a mortgage. The summary is view-able online.
A historical Land Registry (England & Wales) is also available which can provide details on whom the owner of a property was before the current owner.
