The Salvation Army in the UK offers a family tracing service to help family members reconnect. They operate at an 89% success rate and reunite 8 people a day on average.

The service is designed to help support and restore family relationships by reuniting those who have lost contact in either the recent or distant past. They can help trace known relatives over the age of 18, emigrant families and next of kin.

To apply for the service you need to complete an application. The form is available online and can be returned by post, or alternatively you can contact The Salvation Army by email or phone. There is an initial registration fee to help cover the costs of initial searches undertaken by the team.

Note that this service is not able to be used in birth family searches with adoption cases.

Q How much does it cost?

There is a registration fee of £45.00 for each person sought. Pensioners may receive a discount and only pay £25.00.
