Missing People is an independent charity in the UK reliant upon donations. They provide a range of support services and assist in the search for missing persons.
An online register is maintained of people presently missing. You can browse the listings in date order, or if you prefer you can run a search. Available fields are keyword/name, area, missing since, age and gender. As you select each field the results will be narrowed down to just those meeting your criteria. Selecting a name will bring up a profile with all the particulars. If you wish to assist you can download a poster of the missing person.
If you have any information on the whereabouts of someone listed, you can file a report online. The form provides a wide range of details that may be completed and also provides you with the ability to opt-out of having your details passed onto the police or have any further contact from Missing People.
As part of their work, the charity also assists in publicising details to their social media followers to help attract attention and hopefully information. The organisation is a registered charity in England, Wales and Scotland.
